Terms of use
echoVin is beta software offered to invited testers. Using it means you accept these terms.
Who may use it
You must be 21 or older and located in the United States. echoVin gives opinions about wine; it does not sell alcohol, and it is not a substitute for your own judgment about drinking.
What a verdict is
A fit score is an estimate of how close a wine's profile is to the wines you have rated. It is not a quality rating, a health claim, or advice. Wines vary by vintage and bottle, our data has gaps, and the reader can misread a label. Treat the result as a well-informed friend's guess.
Beta
The app is provided as is, without warranty. Features may change or stop working, verdicts may change as the engine improves, and we may end the beta at any time. We do not promise uptime or accuracy during the beta.
Your content
Photos you scan are used only to read the wine names on them and are not stored by echoVin. Your ratings stay on your device and remain yours.
Acceptable use
Don't try to scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the service, and don't use it to build a competing dataset. Testers who received an invite may not share the build outside the beta.
Our content
The echoVin name, mark, app, and engine are ours. The sources behind the wine data, and their licenses, are listed on the data page.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, echoVin and its founders are not liable for any loss arising from use of the app, including a bottle you didn't enjoy. Where a limitation isn't allowed, liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app, which during the beta is nothing.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States.
